Welcome to Metzger Braeu! This is our little corner of the world where we explore all manner of things that we find interesting in the world of owning a home and the projects that we can undertake to make our houses more secure and kinder to the planet (and maybe a few things that we just think are cool).

Nothing off limits here, but with the exception of the odd plug for langley plumbing we won’t be selling anything. This is a forum for us to share some of the lessons we’ve learned along the way as we’ve embarked upon a number of projects. We’ve scraped our knees and stubbed our toes more than a few times along the way so hopefully, you won’t have to.

When it comes to plumbing we know our stuff, that’s how we pay the bills around here. When it comes to other trades and DIY projects we’re learning as we go – sometimes the projects we take on where we bit off a little more than we could chew were actually the ones we learned the most on (and are definitely the most entertaining to read about).
